Although we opted out, unfortunately getting service was still difficult and wasn't provided until we were forced to speak with the front desk and complain. When checking in, we were offered a $5 daily voucher to opt out of house keeping but we declined, as we knew staying four night, fresh linens, emptying of trash cans and sweeping of floors from any sand, etc., would be necessary. Our biggest complaint however was the lack of house keeping. The bathroom was extremely small and the water pressure in the shower was less than ideal. Although the lobby does seem to have been updated recently, the rooms/bathrooms were neglected.

The beds were advertised as queen, however, they were fulls. Our room was ready prior to the check in time and the room was clean upon arriving. Islamorada is one of the most expensive spots in the Keys, but this place delivers the experience for a palatable price. Our overall experience at Post Card Inn was good. Parking is included, but the hotel also offers shuttle service within a four-mile radius. The resort fee covers bike, kayak, and paddle board rentals and snorkel gear. It's convenient to dining, shopping, and activities. The resort sits in the heart of Islamorada, right on Overseas Highway. What about the neighborhood? Does the hotel fit in, make itself part of the scene? Laid-back travelers from all over the world. What type of travelers will you find here? There's also a Starbucks if that's your thing. There's Kokomo Poolside Bar (lunch), Tiki Bar (lunch and dinner), and Ciao Hound (dinner), which offers Italian specialties and an upbeat vibe. The rooms and suites feel like classic beach cottages, complete with clapboard headboards, shiplap walls, and mounted fish trophies.ĭrinking and dining-what are we looking at? This particular hotel has an interesting history: Its legendary Tiki Bar first opened in 1969 and is supposedly home to the original tiki classic, the Rum Runner. Postcard Inn is part of the Islamorada Resorts Collection, which also includes Amara Cay, Pelican Cove, and La Siesta. Once inside, though, you'll be struck by its relaxing ambience. Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina is right on Overseas Highway in Islamorada, so it doesn't offer a tucked-away feeling from the front. Why did this hotel catch your attention? What's the vibe?
